Van Tatenhove named A-10 Player of the Week
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — After scoring
double figures in both of St. Bonaventure’s game this week,
sophomore Megan Van Tatenhove received a Player of
the Week nod from the Atlantic 10 conference as announced on
Monday.
This is the second weekly award for Van Tatenhove, who last
garnered the award after posting
a career-high 27 points at Quinnipiac.
Van Tatenhove averaged 19.5 points, while shooting an impressive 70 percent (14-20) from the field in the 1-1 week for the Bonnies. The forward was the game-high scorer at Massachusetts and against Saint Joseph’s.
The Sheboygan Falls, Wis., native went went 7-for-8 from the field and 6-of-7 from the line, finishing the game with 20 points at UMass. She added three rebounds and an assist against the Minutewomen as well
Van Tatenhove posted 19 points (7-12) against the Hawks, while grabbing seven boards and dishing out two assist. The sophomore is second in the team in field goal percentage (49.8) and scoring (11.6) and tied for third in rebounding (3.8)
St. Bonaventure travels south to face defending Atlantic 10
Tournament Champion Charlotte (14-9, 7-2) on Wednesday. Last
season, the Bonnies defeated the 49ers at the Reilly Center for
their 20th win of the season. Game time at Halton Arena is
scheduled for 7 p.m.
