ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Multiple indoor records were set by St. Bonaventure women's track athletes Friday night at the RIT Invitational, including a pair by senior Amberlee Robertson.

Robertson posted a new program-best mile time with her effort of 5:35.77, nearly three seconds faster than a mark set two years ago at the same venue by Samantha Henry.

Robertson went to the top of the board in the Bonnies record books at the 1000 meters as well, finishing in 3:22.46, fourth overall in the event Friday night. Her time eclipses the mark of 3:32.35 posted by Natalie Cummings at RIT two years ago.  

In the mile, five Bonnies set top-10 program marks – along with Robertson, Lindsey Clawson (third), Lindsey Lytle (fourth), Olivia Ippolito (sixth) and Sophia Machowski (eighth) all stand in the program top-10 for the event following Friday's meet.

Emily Peterson delivered another school-best in the 3000, posting a run of 11:30.67, shattering her previous PR by 14 seconds and eclipsing the old record by over six seconds. Lauren McGee finished in 12:02.07, good for third-best by a Bonnies runner in the event.

At 200 meters, Bridget Kennedy ran the top time for the Bonnies with an effort of 28.28 to place ninth overall in the event of 41 competitors.

Robertson qualified for the upcoming Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships in the mile while Peterson also punched her ticket to the conference meet in the 3000.

The Bonnies are back in competition next Saturday at the Cornell Indoor Invite.
