BUFFALO – Freshman Bridget Kennedy set the Bonnies 400 meter school record as the St. Bonaventure women's track team competed Friday at the U.B. Spring Opener.
Kennedy, a two-sport athlete at St. Bonaventure who is also on the women's soccer team, ran a time of 1:02.25 to win her heat and also qualify for Atlantic 10 Championships. She broke the school record time held by Meaghan Ralph since 2017 by nearly two seconds.
Lindsey Lytle moved to second all-time in Bona's history for the 3000 meters with her time of 11:24.13. Emily Peterson now stands fourth in the event with her run of 11:30.21 while Lauren McGee moves to seventh at 11:49.83.
In the 800 meters, Lindsey Clawson finished fifth out of 22 runners by posting a time of 2:30.36. That mark jumps her to ninth on the Bonnies individual records list and qualifies her for the upcoming A-10 Championships.
The Bonnies are back in action Thursday, April 21 at Slippery Rock.
