ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse head coach LeighAnn Stauffer has announced the hiring of Kirsten Parker as an assistant coach. Parker officially joined the staff this week.

"I am very excited to welcome Kirsten to the staff. Her passion for the game and her willingness to learn really stuck out to me," Stauffer said. "She has great ACC playing experience as well as successful high school head coaching experience that our team can learn a lot from. I am thrilled for the future of our program with her on board."

Parker joins the Bonnies program from Kentucky where she was both a student-athlete and began her coaching career.

Most recently, Parker served as varsity head coach at Mercy Academy where she led the program to its first winning season since 2008 and first state tournament appearance since 2018. Her work earned her the 2023 Coach of the Year award from the Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League.

Prior to taking the head coaching reins at Mercy, she was assistant club director for Cardinal Elite Lacrosse Club and assistant coach for Maryland United Lacrosse Club, working with young athletes ages 10-18.

Parker played four seasons at the Division I level for Louisville where she appeared in 48 career games before graduating in 2022. A midfielder for the Cardinals, she logged a career-high 18 games including four starts as a freshman and concluded her career with 14 games played as a senior when she was also a team captain for the squad.

A Maryland native, she was a three-year letterwinner at Elizabeth Seton High School and was named team captain of her lacrosse squad while earning all-conference honorable mention accolades.

Parker joins Stauffer and fellow assistant coach Kelly Layton on the Bonnies women's lacrosse coaching staff.
