New Era of Bonnies Men’s Soccer Begins Thursday

By Dylan Nuzzo, Assistant Sports Information Director

The St. Bonaventure University men’s soccer team kicks off the 2025 campaign on Thursday, Aug. 21, when it hosts Little Three rival Niagara at 6:00 p.m. at the Marra Athletics Complex.

Thursday marks the beginning of a new era for Bonnies men’s soccer, as it will be the first contest under new head coach Mick Giordano.

Giordano joined the Bonnies in April after spending the previous five seasons at UNC Asheville, where he led the Bulldogs to back-to-back Big South Tournament appearances for the first time in program history. He also guided UNC Asheville to the Big South Tournament finals in 2023.

Bermingham arrives at St. Bonaventure after serving as an assistant coach at Wisconsin last season, helping the Badgers to a 7-5-3 record.
