Javitt Earns Top Spot on ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 Plays

By Dylan Nuzzo, Assistant Sports Information Director

St. Bonaventure University men’s soccer senior Andres Javitt garnered the national spotlight Tuesday evening, earning the top spot on ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays.

Javitt netted the game-winning goal in dramatic fashion in the Bonnies 2-1 victory over Robert Morris Tuesday afternoon.

With the game tied in the 87th minute, Mattia Ferretti won the ball in the box and sent a cutback pass to Javitt on the left side of the box. Javitt wound up and bicycle kicked his shot past the RMU goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

"I was speechless. To be able to think of that and be able to execute that kick tells you a little bit of how brilliant of a player Andres is. I'm still speechless."
Bonnies Head Coach Kwame Oduro

Earlier in the game, Javitt registered an assist, tallying three points in the game and marking the third time this season he has posted multiple points in a game.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday evening on the road at Rhode Island. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
