GAME PROMOTION: Fans are asked to bring a new blanket to help area children in need during the holiday season. Those who bring in a new blanket to donate to the Child Advocacy Center will receive free entry to the game.

MILESTONES REACHED: Senior Mariah Ruff will be honored prior to Wednesday's game after becoming the 22nd member of the Bonnies' 1,000-point club with her putback at the 7:38 mark of the third quarter in Saturday's victory vs. UMBC. It was a big week for the senior guard - last Tuesday, she continued her climb in the program's all-time assists charts as well. With five helpers last Tuesday at Bucknell, she passed current assistant coach Andrea Mulcahy for eighth in the program record books with 311. She is currently second in the Atlantic 10 with 6.3 assists per game. She also moved into 21st place all-time in Bonnies scoring Sunday at Navy, entering Wednesday with 1,009 career points.

NAVY CLASSIC LEFTOVERS: The Bonnies used a hard-charging fourth quarter and a 50-32 ownership of the boards to defeat UMBC, 63-54, in the Navy Classic First Round Saturday before dropping the Championship Game to the host Midshipmen, 86-48. Mckenna Maycock was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds during the Navy Classic. The offensive output from Navy in the championship game was a rarity against the Bonnies defense - SBU has allowed 80+ points just five times since the 2012-13 season. The 86 points scored by Navy were the most by a Bonnies opponent since UConn scored 88 on Nov. 24, 2013.

HOME SWEET HOME: Wednesday marks the start of the longest home stand of the season for the Bonnies as they will play four straight contests inside the Reilly Center. Bona will not be on the road again until Dec. 17, playing host to four teams from three different conferences -
Delaware (CAA), Toledo and Buffalo (MAC) as well as Penn State (Big 10). That's good news for the Bonnies - during the past three seasons, (2015-16 - present), Bona has won 37 games - 24 of those wins have come on home court.

MAYCOCK SURGING: Junior Mckenna Maycock continued her recent torrid stretch of play by setting another career high with 23 points in Saturday's win over UMBC. She turned in a double-double effort of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Over the past five games, she has averaged 19.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor and 59.1 percent from the perimeter (13-of-22) in 36.6 minutes per contest. On Monday, she was honored as the College Sports Madness Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after an outstanding set of three games last week where she broke her career best in scoring twice - first with 21 points in a win at Bucknell before besting that in the next time out with 23 points in a victory over UMBC at Navy.

BREE FOR THREE: Junior Bree Paulson leads the Bonnies in 3s this season, hitting 17 through seven games. A 37 percent shooter from beyond the arc, Paulson has made 19 field goals on the season with all but two coming from distance.

WELCOME TO THE SQUAD: Junior Arielle Harvey continues to be productive as Coach Fleming's first option off the bench in her first season with the program. Harvey ranks second on the team, behind only Maycock, shooting 46.5 percent (20-for-43) from the floor this season.

BONA VS. DELAWARE -  SERIES HISTORY
  • Wednesday will be just the fourth meeting all-time between the Bonnies and the second half of a home-and-home series that started last year.
  • St. Bonaventure and Delaware have played at the Reilly Center just one time - that was during the 2011-12 Sweet 16 season when the Blue Hens, behind All-American Elena Delle Donne, scored a 61-49 win on Nov. 27, 2011. Delle Donne was as advertised, scoring 26 points and hauling in 18 rebounds to lead the way for the Blue Hens.
  • In a bit of irony, the one and only meeting between these two teams at The RC also featured the honoring of a Bonnies 1,000-point scorer. Jessica Jenkins ('12) was honored in pre-game for reaching 1,000 points. Mariah Ruff will be honored in pre-game Wednesday for also accomplishing the feat.
  • Last year, the two teams renewed acquaintances for the first time in four years.
  • Delaware came away with a win in a defensive struggle, 43-40. Back-to-back three-pointers from Mariah Ruff in the final 90 seconds brought the Bonnies to within a point and a defensive stand gave the visitors the opportunity for a victory in the waning seconds. A layup effort for the winning bucket by Matea Britvar with the score separated by just a point went around the rim and out, however, with less than 15 seconds to play. Ruff had 11 points and four assists.
ABOUT DELAWARE
  • Head coach Natasha Adair is in her first season as head coach of the Blue Hens. She was announced as head coach on May 14, 2017.
  • Delaware women's basketball was picked to finish fifth in the Colonial Athletic Association preseason poll. The Blue Hens finished fourth last season with a 10-8 CAA record.
  • Junior forward Nicole Enabosi earned preseason CAA First-Team All-Conference honors. She was selected to the All-CAA First-Team and All-Defensive team last season. She is averaging 22 points and 13 rebounds per game through the first six games. Enabosi also leads the team in blocks with 11.
  • Abby Gonzales leads the Blue Hens with 4.7 apg while averaging 7 points and 4.8 rebounds. She is also tied for the team lead with Enabosi with 11 steals. Gonzales and Anabosi are joined by Baily Kargo as the only three players to start all six contests for Delaware.
  • Delaware is coming into Wednesday's game after a 66-37 victory over Eastern Illinois on Sunday, Nov. 26 at the Saint Joseph's Thanksgiving Tournament. Prior to that game, the Blue Hens fell to Saint Peter's 90-87 in a double overtime contest.
