Interview Requests
All interviews with St. Bonaventure student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff must be coordinated through the Athletics Communications Office.
All St. Bonaventure coaches have a weekly standing media availability time while in-season. For information and to attend these media sessions, please contact the appropriate Athletics Communications sport contact above.
Media may film from the following areas: For outdoor facilities, the platforms around the Marra Athletic Complex, Joyce Field and Handler Park (there are two platforms outside the Marra Complex. Platforms at Handler Park are down the first and third base lines as well as in centerfield. A centerfield platform is also available at Joyce Field). For the Reilly Center, student media may film from the red seats in the upper bowl of the arena. Students must confirm the date/time they wish to film with the proper Athletics Communications sport contact. (The weight room and strength & conditioning areas are off-limits to all media members)
All media and students should include the following in a press request:
- Organization you are representing
- List of 3-4 possible questions & topic for whomever they wish to interview
- Deadline for your interview to be held to hit story deadline
- Available times/days you are able to conduct the interview
On game days, student-athletes will not be available for interviews until post-game. Press conferences for men's and women's basketball will take place after the NCAA-mandated 10-minute cooling-off period. Head coaches and players will be made available to answer questions upon request. For all other sports, coaches and athletes will be made available by request after the cooling-off period. Members of the media wishing to speak to a player or coach should notify a member of the Athletics Communications Office prior to the end of the game. All St. Bonaventure locker rooms are closed to the media.
On non-game days, interviews must be coordinated through the Athletics Communications Office at least 24 hours in advance. A student-athlete's phone number and/or email address will not be released unless that student-athlete grants permission. Student-athletes will not be asked to miss class time. The Athletics Communications Office will do its best to provide an interview time that is mutually convenient for both the player/coach and the media representative.
