BOSTON – St. Bonaventure University women's basketball alumna Priscilla Edwards, '08, has been announced as the new Northeastern women's basketball head coach.
She began her coaching career during the 2009-10 season as the director of basketball operations on Jim Crowley's Bonnies staff following the end of her five-year playing career with the Brown and White.
Edwards was promoted to assistant coach prior to the 2010-11 season, serving in that role for two seasons before departing for St. John's in 2012. During her three seasons with the Red Storm, Edwards helped produce four WNBA draft selections.
She rejoined Coach Crowley at Providence, spending five seasons as the Friars associate head coach. Edwards moved to the ACC in 2021, becoming an assistant coach at Clemson where she spent the last two seasons.
During her time as a player at St. Bonaventure, Edwards posted 881 points, 448 rebounds and 354 assists. She helped the Bonnies to a then-program record 23 wins and advanced to the quarterfinals of the WNIT during the 2008-09 season.
Edwards is the only player in St. Bonaventure history, men's or women's, to record a triple-double, doing so Feb. 24, 2006 in a double overtime contest against Richmond, finishing 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
