Dear Bonnies Alumni,
As the holiday season fast approaches, we want to take a moment to reflect on the exciting fall we’ve had and share some updates on what’s happening in the world of St. Bonaventure Men’s Lacrosse.
This August, we matriculated 16 newcomers to the Bonaventure family giving us a roster of 54 hungry student-athletes lifting, conditioning and practicing as we prepare for our 16-game schedule in the spring of 2025.
Through your generous support the Bonnie Laxers enjoyed two significant team building experiences. We first traveled to Philadelphia to support and cheer on fellow alum Brett Dobson in the PLL Championship game. Brett and the Archers did not disappoint, winning their second consecutive championship with Brett being named MVP for the second year in a row.
At the end of September, we took the Bonnies for a three-hour excursion of paintball 40 minutes away from campus. It was an absolutely incredible experience of competing and building team comradery.
In October, we competed in the Headstrong Cure Cancer event at Hofstra University and got our first look at the current roster. As a staff, we left with a sense that we are on the right track and 2025 can be a very special year.
We finished the fall semester academically strong with a respectable team cumulative GPA of a 3.18, showing our commitment to success in the classroom as well as the community and the lacrosse field.
It is with great optimism and excitement that we approach the 2025 season. We have a 16-game schedule with eight home dates and eight away dates starting Sunday, February 2 against VMI on the Marra Sports Complex. Mark your calendars! Alumni Weekend will be the weekend of our Saturday, April 26, 2025 finale against High Point University.
As always, we’re incredibly grateful for your continued support and connection to the program. Your legacy inspires our student athletes daily, and we hope to make you proud in every lift, conditioning, practice, and game we compete in.
