4/24/2024 12:41:00 PM

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University women's basketball head coach Jim Crowley has announced the addition of two student-athletes to the roster for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Gabby Robinson Forde and Aurore Eyango have both signed National Letters of Intent to join the Bonnies next season.

"Both Gabby and Aurore give us great athleticism and experience," Crowley said. "They should be able to help us right away as we continue to improve the program. We are excited to have them join a solid freshmen class that we signed in the fall that will help us as we continue our climb in the Atlantic 10."

Robinson Forde joins the Bonnies from Brampton, Ontario and will have two years of eligibility remaining. She spent the 2023-24 campaign with Gulf Coast State College and started her career at North Dakota State in 2021-22 before transferring to Northwestern State in 2022-23.

"Gabby is a versatile defender who can guard all five positions," Crowley stated. "Her upside offensively is really exciting and she is going to fit very well in how we play."

A 6-2 forward, Robinson Forde played in 33 games last season, chipping in 3.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 41.8 percent from the field. She rejected 26 shots, ranking ninth in NJCAA Region 8. She recorded a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double against Tallahassee Community College Feb. 14, 2024.

Robinson Forde helped Gulf Coast State to a 27-6 record and a NJCAA Division I Tournament quarterfinal appearance.

Eyango, a native of Lille, France, will have two years of eligibility remaining after spending the 2022-23 season at Frank Phillips College and the 2023-24 season with Clarendon College.

"Aurore is a dynamic point guard," Crowley said. "She can really push the tempo and create havoc with her defense. She someone who can win the ball for us in both rebounding and defensive situations."

A 5-9 guard, Eyango appeared in 32 games last season at Clarendon, averaging 8.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from three-point range.

She scored in double figures 17 times and posted five games with 10 or more rebounds, including a season-high 15 against New Mexico Junior College Feb. 5, 2024. Eyango also registered four double-doubles.

Eyango helped Clarendon to a 21-11 record and a NJCAA Division I Region 5 semifinal appearance.

At Frank Phillips College, Eyango appeared in 28 games, averaging 4.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 40.0 percent from the field.

Robinson Forde and Eyango join fall signees Caitlin Frost (Les Coteaux, Quebec), Mackenzie Pettinelli (Collegeville, Pa.), Hannah Richardson (Auckland, New Zealand), Zoe Shaw (Melbourne, Australia), Macy Smith (Strasburg, Va.) and Lena Walz (Erie, Pa.) as part of the 2024 recruiting class.
