An electric playmaker for Archbishop Ryan, Brockington starred in the competitive Philadelphia Catholic League as a senior with 18.6 points per game ... was key to leading Ryan to a pair of Philadelphia Catholic League semifinals at the Palestra, Ryan’s first since 2008, including 23 wins and a bid in the PIAA Class 6A semifinals during his senior season ... the third member of his senior class to commit to a Division I program, joining teammates who will play at Miami (Fla.) and Bowling Green ... earned First Team All-State honors for Class 6A. ...completed his career as the third 1,000-point scorer in his high school’s program history, finishing with 1,242 points ... also a standout on the defensive end, he consistently guarded his opponent’s best players ... paced Archbishop Ryan in assists (3.1 per game) and steals (2.1) while shooting over 45 percent from the field ... was coached by Joe Zeglinski his junior and senior years, and Bernie Rogers his freshman and sophomore seasons.
