The GoBonnies.com Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 7 is cross country redshirt senior Clay Peets.

Peets, a native of Akron, Ohio, was also crowned as the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Performer of the Week after a standout opening week performance.

He won the Little Three Championship on campus at Bona's this past Saturday, dominating the race from start to finish. He ran his home course 5K layout in a time of 14:28.0, easily vaulting to the top of the program record books as he shattered his old record of 15:02.

He won Saturday's race by over 16 seconds.
