Mendoza hit a groove early in diving competition, resulting in two podium placements of her own. On the 1-meter board, she scored 272.10 points, which was good for second place and the third-ranking score in the A-10. On the 3-meter board, she collected a victory with a conference-best 305.10 points. She has already qualified for NCAA Diving Zones on both boards this season.
