After his best tournament of the season, St. Bonaventure junior Josh Stauffer (Bradford, Pa.) has been named Co-Golfer of the Week by the Atlantic 10 Conference.
Stauffer tied for sixth place in the Binghamton University Invitational Oct. 5-6 at the Links at Hiawatha Landing. He shot 74 and 70 for an even-par total of 144. That score was just three shots back of winner Kyle Wambold of Binghamton. The sixth-place finish was Stauffer's best this fall and also his second top-10 of the year.
Stauffer's performance helped the Bonnies to an eighth-place finish out of 16 teams at Binghamton.
For the season, Stauffer has a team-best scoring average of 73.7 over 12 rounds.
St. Bonaventure's next tournament, which will be its last of the fall season, is the Dayton Invitational Oct. 20-21.
