The Starting Five:
1. The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team will take its four-game winning streak and put it on the line as they travel to Richmond, Va. for a weekday matchup against the Richmond Spiders. Last season the Bonnies went 2-0 against the Spiders.

2. The Brown and White began their Atlantic 10 campaign with a win against UMass that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Bonnies posted a 65-53 victory over the Minutewoman off the heels of Katie Healy's 25 point and 9 rebound performance.

3. During the Bonnies four-game winning streak, St. Bonaventure is averaging 71.3 points per game while shooting 45.5% from the field and 36.1% from beyond the arc. The Brown and White are also recording 39.8 rebounds per contest.

4. Hannah Little followed suit of Healy's performance against UMass as she posted 19 points and 10 rebounds, good for her second double-double of the season. Little leads the Bonnies on the boards as she has brought down 102 rebounds this season. Little is just 15 rebounds shy of reaching the 500 career rebound mark.

5. The Bonnies' defense has led the team to its 11-3 record as SBU is ranked first in the Atlantic 10 and 19th in the nation in field-goal percentage defense as it is holding teams to 34.1% from the field.

Scouting The Spiders:
• The Spiders enter Wednesday's match-up with a record of 8-5. They have key wins against Wake Forest, Georgetown and UAB. They were 1-1 against common opponents with the Bonnies in non-conference. The Spiders fell to James Madison on Dec. 3.
• Richmond hold a 4-1 record at home this season with its lone loss coming against Hampton on Dec. 6, by a score of 64-53.
• The Spiders are coming off a tough 65-64 overtime loss Sunday at Fordham to start the New Year off 0-1 in the A-10 that snapped a five-game win streak for Richmond. The Spiders finished their longest road swing of the season at Fordham, which was the fifth-straight contest.
• The Spiders are shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from behind the arc.
• Sophomore Janelle Hubbard leads three Spiders with 13.6 points per game.

Last Time They Met:
The St. Bonaventure women's basketball team edged out Richmond on Saturday, Jan. 25 by the score of 53-48. Nyla Rueter had a team-high 14 points for the Brown and White while Katie Healy had another double-double with 10 points and led all players in rebounding with 15 boards. St. Bonaventure capped off their two-game road trip for their fourth consecutive victory to close out the month of January with the win over Richmond. The Bonnies attempted just 15 field goals in the second half but made them count as they converted on nine of them (60%). The Brown and White also got to the line, converting on 8-11 from the charity stripe to finish the game 13-17 from the free throw line. Poor shooting and strong defense held the Spiders to just 8-28 (28.6%) shooting in the second half.

Upper Echelon of the Atlantic 10:
Since 2008-09, when the Bonnies made their first ever postseason appearance, St. Bonaventure has an overall record of 143-70 and 56-31 in the Atlantic 10, which is good for the second best in the conference only trailing the Dayton Flyers, who holds an overall record of 150-58 and an A-10 record of 68-19. Since 2008-09, St. Bonaventure has made the WNIT four times and the NCAA tournament once, including a Sweet Sixteen berth in 2011-12.

Defense Wins Championships:
It's an old saying that defense wins championships. St. Bonaventure hopes that holds true for them as they currently rank first in the Atlantic 10 and 19th in the nation in field-goal percentage defense as the team is holding opponents to shooting 34.2% from the field. The Bonnies are also excelling in scoring defense as they rank second in the A-10 and 27th in the nation as they are holding opponents to 55.4 points per game. The Brown and White are holding a scoring margin of +5.6, which is good for third in the Atlantic 10. As for individual accolades, St. Bonaventure has three different players ranking in the top 10 of defensive categories in the A-10.
