ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – In yet another instance of Bonnies rallying around a worthy cause, St. Bonaventure fans, alumni and families have officially "sold out" the Reilly Center for the 2020-21 basketball season.

The Virtual Sellout began at the start of the season and the few remaining seats were sold last week. The final total of seats sold was 3,434 for a total of $171,700 in Bonnies Athletic Fund (BAF) donations.

All of the money raised through the Virtual Sellout will be used for athletics department operations.

Since March 2, 210 donors purchased seats in tribute to late St. Bonaventure president Dr. Dennis DePerro, who passed away March 1. Those donations were matched by a gift of 55 seats purchased by an anonymous alumnus. The seats included in that match were "tagged" in memory of Dr. DePerro.

As they did this past week, the men's basketball team and staff will continue to wear a "DD" patch for the remainder of the season.

"It's been heartwarming to have Bonnies alumni and fans support the Virtual Sellout all year, and especially now as we all grieve the loss of Dr. DePerro," said Director of Athletics Tim Kenney. "We cannot thank everyone enough for their support. All of the lost revenues due to the pandemic have deeply impacted our operations, and so the Virtual Sellout is crucial to helping us continue to support our student-athletes."

Despite no fans being allowed to attend basketball games at the Reilly Center this year due to the pandemic, the men's team has enjoyed one of its best seasons ever, winning the Atlantic 10 Conference regular season title outright for the first time. The Bonnies finished 8-1 on their home floor. St. Bonaventure won its first two games in the A-10 Tournament last weekend and will play VCU for the championship on Sunday afternoon.
