The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team wraps up a stretch of five straight games on the road when it visits Bucknell Wednesday, Nov. 30. Tip is slated for 4:30 p.m. at the Sojka Pavilion.
OPENING TIP
- The Bonnies get back to action after three games at the Viking Invitational last week hosted by Cleveland State, taking on Bellarmine, Georgia State and the hosts.
- Wednesday against Bellarmine, the Bonnies were led by I'yanna Lops with a career-high 22 points while Nadechka Laccen also poured in a career-high 17 points.
- Maddie Dziezgowski chipped in 13 points and six rebounds for the Bonnies against Georgia State Friday evening while Claire Cody registered a career-best 10 points in 25 minutes off the bench.
- Lops tallied a team-high 14 points and shot 50 percent from the floor and Nikki Oppenheimer added seven points for the Bonnies against Cleveland State.
LOPS MOVING UP THE RANKS
- Senior forward I'yanna Lops averaged 2.0 blocks per game during the Viking Invitational. Lops has 71 career blocks with the Bonnies, ranking fifth all-time in program history. She is 12 rejections shy of Donna Ditota (1979-83) for fourth all time on the blocks list.
- This season, Lops has rejected 10 shots, averaging 1.7 per blocks per game. She currently ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in total blocks and blocks per game. As a team, the Bonnies are blocking 4.2 shots per game, ranking second in the A-10.
- She also ranks seventh in the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage, shooting 48.4 percent from the floor.
- Lops earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 14.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 assists per game in 30.9 minutes per contest last week.
SERIES HISTORY VS. BUCKNELL
- Wednesday marks the 15th meeting all-time between the Bonnies and the Bison. Bona's leads the all-time series, 8-6, but Bucknell has won the previous three matchups against the Brown and White. The Bison got the best of the Bonnies last season at the Reilly Center, taking down the Brown and White, 72-60. The Bonnies are 3-2 all-time at the Sojka Pavilion with their last victory against the Bison coming Nov. 21, 2017 in Lewisburg, 58-48, behind 21 points from Mckenna Maycock.
ABOUT BUCKNELL
- Bucknell enters Wednesday with a 2-5 record to begin the year and is coming off a pair of losses at Syracuse and home vs. Temple. Last season, the Bison finished 24-10 overall and 12-6 in Patriot League play, earning a postseason berth and winning a game in the WNIT.
- The Bison are coached by Trevor Woodruff who is in his fourth season at the helm of the women's basketball team. During his time in Lewisburg, Woodruff has guided the Bison to a 59-22 record overall and 40-10 in Patriot League play. This year, Bucknell was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League preseason poll.
- Bucknell is led offensively by Preseason All-Patriot League Team selection Cecelia Collins who is averaging 13.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. She and Emma Shaffer are the only two players to have started all seven games this season for the Bison. Shaffer is second on the team in scoring at 8.4 points and is the team's leading rebounder at 6.7 boards per game.

- The Bonnies return home for the first time since Nov. 11 to host Little Three rival Niagara Friday, Dec. 2 at the Reilly Center. Tip is slated for 6:00 p.m.
