ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure fell short in a competitive battle with Notre Dame College this weekend.
The Bonnies traveled to South Euclid to face the NDC Falcons on Saturday in a playoff-seeding game for both units.
Both teams placed inside the top 5 ranks of the NCR coaches' poll, with the Bonnies at #2 and the Falcons at #3.
Through the competitive battle, both sides had opportunities and found the try zone.
A late try by the Falcons led to a 28-19 victory at home for NDC.
"There were moments when we played our best rugby, but toward the end, we let little mistakes get the better of us," said Noah Edwards.
Bonaventure finishes the regular season with a 4-3 record and a .571-win percentage. The pack is now preparing for the playoffs as they will face Wheeling University in the first round.
