The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team travels east on I-86 to take on Cornell Tuesday, Dec. 5. Tip is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Newman Arena.
OPENING TIP
The Bonnies look to snap a two-game skid following a 90-50 loss at unbeaten West Virginia Saturday afternoon. Dani Haskell led the Bonnies with 11 points while Nadechka Laccen registered 10 points. Isabellah Middleton and Claire Cody tallied eight points each for the Brown and White.
CROWLEY VS. NEW YORK
There are currently 21 Division I women's basketball programs in New York. Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley touts a record of 85-35 (70.8 winning percentage) against teams from the Empire State.
IN THE ATLANTIC 10
Dani Haskell currently leads the Atlantic 10 free throw percentage, shooting 92.9 percent from the charity stripe and is fourth in the A-10 with 26 made free throws. The Franklinville, N.Y. native also ranks fifth in the A-10 in minutes per game (33.6), fifth in the A-10 in scoring (15.1 ppg) and sixth in 3-pointers made (18).
Isabellah Middleton currently ranks seventh in the conference and second among A-10 guards in field goal percentage, hitting at a 46.0 percent mark from the floor.
CORNELL NOTES
Cornell enters Tuesday's contest 4-4 overall, earning wins over Southern Illinois, Mount St. Mary's, Binghamton and Bucknell. The Big Red finished last season 10-17 overall and 3-11 in Ivy League play. Cornell was picked to finish seventh in the Ivy League preseason poll.
The Big Red are coached by Dayna Smith who is in her 21st season in Ithaca. She has accumulated a 221-330 all-time record with Cornell. Smith is the longest tenured coach in the Ivy League and is also the winningest coach in Cornell women's basketball history.
Cornell is led by Kaya Ingram who is averaging 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. Ingram ranks second in the Ivy League in free throw attempts (42) and fourth in made free throws (31). On the glass, Summer Parker-Hall is pulling down a team-high 5.8 rebounds per contest while Emily Pape grabs 5.5 per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Big Red are slated to meet for the 15th time Tuesday evening. Cornell holds the slight edge in the all-time series, 8-6, and have won the last two meetings between the schools. The Big Red took down the Bonnies in the last matchup, 70-42, at the Reilly Center. The Bonnies last win over Cornell came Dec. 22, 2008 when the Bonnies won 70-49 on home court. Coach Crowley is 4-1 all-time against Cornell.

The Bonnies get an 11-day break before returning home to host Youngstown State Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Reilly Center. Tip is slated for 1:00 p.m.
