ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team was defeated by Fordham, 85-51, Wednesday evening at the Reilly Center.
I'yanna Lops registered her third double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three steals in 39 minutes. Nadechka Laccen finished with a team-high 14 points in 29 minutes off the bench.
The Rams (15-8, 7-3 A-10) were able to pull out to an early nine-point, 21-12, lead after the first 10 minutes.
Fordham shot 50 percent in the second quarter on 9-of-18 shooting from the field, outscoring the Bonnies 19-5 in the period and closing the half on a 9-0 to take a 40-17 advantage at halftime.
It was more of the same in the second half as Fordham held on to its double-digit lead, earning the victory.
The Bonnies (4-21, 1-9 A-10) are back in action Sunday, Feb. 5 at the Reilly Center. Bona's hosts Saint Louis with tip slated for 1:00 p.m. for the annual Pink Game.
