GENEVA, Ohio –
Maxwell Murray and
Ben Giera both made their way to the podium for the St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving on day two of Atlantic 10 Championships at Spire Institute.

Murray touched the wall in a time of 4:22.92 in the 500-freestyle to earn a silver medal and set a new program record. The third-year swimmer surpassed the time set by Vatslav Lets (4:23.90) in 2013.

In the 1-meter dive, Giera finished with a score of 302.65 to notch a bronze medal. Teammate
Lucas Dekaney placed fourth in the event, diving a score of 301.60.

Sophomore
Alexander Behr swam a time of 20.45 to place seventh in the 50-freestyle.
Â
In the consolation final of the 200-IM, senior
Nicholas Nakaya picked a 16
th place finish with a time of 1:52.72.

Divers
Ben O'Neill (265.80) and
Davis Hutchinson (228.00) placed ninth and 14
th in the consolation of the 1-meter dive.

To finish off the second night of competition, the Bonnies 200-freestyle relay team of
Kyle Gluck,
Patrick Heldreth,
Tommy White, and
Griffin Witte touched the wall in a time of 1:22.21 for a seventh-place finish.

St. Bonaventure stands in fifth-place out of eight teams with a team score of 157. George Washington leads the way with 295 team points, ahead of UMass (184) and George Mason (178).Â

Day three of championships begins at 10:00 a.m. with the 400-IM prelims.
