ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Junior Jean Marrero won in singles and doubles action but the St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team fell to Bucknell, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center.

Marrero teamed up with Rasmus Egehus at No. 1 doubles for a 6-3 victory over Nick Mueller and Michael Owen.

The Bison, however, were able to earn the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.

Moving into singles play, Marrero bested Owen at the No. 3 spot in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6.

Also winning for the Bonnies was Luke Young at No. 6, taking down Brendan McDonald in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.

The Bonnies are back in action on home court Thursday, March 2 when they host Houghton. That match is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
