The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week presented by CPL are baseball sophomore Gabe Watts and women's lacrosse senior Ashley Herrick.

Watts led the Bonnies to a victory Saturday at Mount St. Mary's with a strong performance on the hill.

The second-year Bonnie earned the victory by throwing six innings and striking out a career-high nine batters while walking none. Eight of his strikeouts were swinging and one looking.

St. Bonaventure hosts its home-opening series vs. Merrimack at Handler Park this weekend.

Herrick made 20 saves in a pair of games this past week.

She turned away eight shots in a 14-8 victory at Eastern Michigan on Tuesday. In Atlantic 10 action on Saturday, Herrick posted 12 saves vs. Davidson in an 11-10 heartbreaker. For the week, she had a save percentage of 54 percent.

The Bonnies travel to Duquesne on Wednesday and host UMass at the Marra Athletics Complex on Saturday.
