ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team split a pair of weekend matches against Buffalo and Saint Joseph's.

The Bonnies fell to Buffalo Friday night, 5-2, before rebounding for a 4-3 victory over Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's Sunday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center.

Alexandra Jansson and Anastasia Gubanova each picked up singles wins for the Bonnies against the Bulls Friday.

The Bonnies started Sunday's match against the Hawks by earning wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, taking the doubles point from Saint Joseph's.

In singles action, Gubanova and Sienna Smith earned straight set victories at No. 4 and No. 5.

Isabella Venter clinched the match for the Bonnies at No. 3 singles, battling back from a set down to capture the win.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, March 11 at home against Colgate.
