ORLANDO – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team fell to Fordham, 4-2, in the first round of the 2023 Atlantic 10 Tournament at the USTA National Campus Wednesday afternoon.
Fordham was able to take the first match at No. 3 doubles, but the Bonnies rebounded with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to clinch the early advantage.
The freshmen duo of Connor Turner and Anargha Ganguly clutched up at No. 3, winning in a set tiebreaker to capture the doubles point for the Brown and White.
In singles action, Rasmus Egehus picked up a straight-set victory at No. 2, defeating Nicholas Kanazirev 6-1, 6-0.
Fordham, however, scored wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles to earn the team victory.
The Bonnies finish the season with a 10-10 record.
