Box Score ANNAPOLIS, MD – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team dropped a close, 4-3, decision to Navy in the spring season opener Saturday in Maryland.
The Bonnies kicked off the spring season by taking the doubles point away from the Midshipmen with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
At the top flight, Archie Graham and Rasmus Egehus took down Sasha Panyan and Luke Garner, 6-4. Jean Marrero and Anargha Ganguly captured the doubles point for the Bonnies with a 6-3 win over Graydon Buckingham and Eric Lui at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, Ganguly earned a straight-set victory at No. 5 over Jason Kim, 6-2, 6-4, while Marrero battled to a three-set win at the No. 6 spot, 6-4, 1-6, 6-1, against Zachery Quattro.
The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Feb. 3 against Virginia Tech and Davidson in Blacksburg, Va.
