ANNAPOLIS, MD – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team fell to Navy, 6-1, to begin the spring season Saturday morning in Maryland.

The duo of Kelly Barnes and Cirkeline Lundberg captured a win at No. 3 doubles over Samantha Johns and Carly Mew, 6-2, but the hosts were able to claim the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and 2.

In singles action, Abbie Tyler battled to a three-set victory over Sylvia Eklund at No. 3, 6-2, 6-7, 10-2.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Jan. 27 on the road at Syracuse.
