The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team officially begins the 2024-25 season Saturday, Nov. 9 when it hosts Binghamton at the Reilly Center. Tipoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
Fans will receive a schedule poster upon entry to Saturday's contest.
TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies opened the 2024-25 season unofficially last Friday against Daemen, defeating the Wildcats, 71-57.
Dani Haskell paced the Bonnies with 20 points on 5-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc. Payton Fields also finished in double figures, tallying 19 points to go along with five rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench.
Daemen, who advanced to last season's NCAA Division II Elite Eight, clawed its way back into the game, pulling within 10 with 5:46 showing on the clock.
The Bonnies, however, returned from the media timeout with an 8-0 run to pull away for good, earning the 71-57 win.
INTERNATIONAL FLAIR
The Bonnies 2024-25 roster boasts seven international student-athletes from Canada to Australia.

FAMILY AFFAIR
Newcomer Mya Davidson is no stranger to St. Bonaventure women's basketball. Davidson's aunt, Tory Vyborny, was a student-athlete for Coach Crowley from 2002-05.
BINGHAMTON NOTES
- Binghamton kicked off the new season with a pair of wins against Pitt-Johnstown and Akron. The Bearcats defeated Pitt-Johnstown, 79-34, Monday evening and posted a 66-50 win over Akron Thursday night. Jadyn Weltz is averaging 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Bearcats through their first two contests.Â
- The Bearcats are coached by Mary Grimes who took over head coaching duties in April 2024, following three seasons at Le Moyne where she posted a 56-30 record.
- Weltz was named to the preseason America East All-Conference Second Team while Binghamton was picked to finish fifth out of nine teams.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Bearcats are slated to meet for the 15th time Saturday afternoon. Bona's owns the all-time series 12-2 over Binghamton, winning the first 10 matchups between the two schools.
Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 9-1 all-time against the Bearcats.
UP NEXT
The Bonnies head out on the road for the first time when they travel to take on Youngstown State Tuesday, Nov. 12. Tip is slated for 6:30 p.m. in Ohio.
