ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Buffalo Friday afternoon at the SBU Tennis Center.

The Bonnies got out to an early lead, clinching the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

Hugo Cochlin and Connor Turner teamed up for a 6-3 win over Finn Macnamara and Theodoris Mitsakos at the top spot while Rasmus Egehus and Norka Sanchez defeated Cheng Tang and Dhananjay Karthik Athreya, 6-3, at No. 3.

Moving into singles, Cochlin took down Yu-Shiang Huang in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, at the No. 4 spot. Jean Marrero also picked up a win in singles, battling back from a set down at No. 5 to win, 5-7, 6-1, 10-8.

Buffalo, however, captured wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 to earn the victory.

The Bonnies are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 28 when they take on Davenport in Orlando, Fla.
