ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team defeated Saint Joseph's, 4-2, in the first round of the 2024 Atlantic 10 Tournament Thursday morning at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

The Bonnies captured wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, earning the team point and taking an early lead.

Anargha Ganguly and Jean Marrero were the first pair to claim victory, defeating John Butler and Eli Gan-Dy at No. 2, 6-3.

The duo of Rasmus Egehus and Connor Turner clutched up at No. 3, winning in a set tiebreaker, 7-6.

Turner was the first to capture a win in singles, beating Papadopoulos in straight sets at No. 4, 6-3, 6-2.

Marrero picked up the next point for the Bonnies at No. 4 singles, battling back from a set down to beat Jack Campbell, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

A late entry into the lineup, Norka Sanchez clinched the win for the Brown and White at No. 6 singles by defeating Gan-Dy in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3

The Bonnies advance to take on No. 2 seed Richmond Friday morning at 11:30 a.m.
