Box Score WEST POINT, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback on the road at Army Saturday afternoon.
The Bonnies were able to take an early team lead, clinching the doubles point from the Black Knights.
Hugo Cochlin and Archie Graham were the first pair to win, taking down Alan Ton and Marcus Sebastain, 6-3, at the top spot. The team of Rasmus Egehus and Connor Turner secured the team point with a 6-4 win over Paul Roberts and Michael Rooney at No. 3.
Graham was the first Bonnies player to pick up a win in singles, besting Daniel Zhou in straight sets at No. 1, 6-2, 6-0.
Cochlin was next to score a victory, battling back from a set down to defeat Samuel Haikal, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 singles.
Army, however, earned the team win with victories at No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, April 13 when they take on Duquesne in Dayton, Ohio.
