SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team fell to Atlantic 10 foe Fordham, 5-2, Saturday afternoon in Syracuse.

The Bonnies started Saturday's match by winning the doubles point away from the Rams with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

The duo of Isabella Venter and Cirkeline Lundberg defeated Julianne Nguyen and Paolo Dalmonico, 6-2, at the top spot. Kashish Bote and Kelly Barnes clinched the doubles point for the Brown and White at No. 3, taking down Aya Matsunaga and Lily Chitamber, 6-4.

Winning for the Bonnies in singles action was Bote at No. 5. The junior battled to a three-set victory over Sofie Siem, 6-4, 3-6, 14-12.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Feb. 1 on the road at Army West Point.
