Bonnies Drop Pair of Weekend Matches

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches, falling to Sacred Heart, 4-0, Saturday and Youngstown State, 7-0, Sunday afternoon.

Against Sacred Heart, the duo of Connor Turner and Chase Cahill-Welsh earned a victory at No. 1 doubles, defeating Matyas Venci and Enrique Laennec-Baffrey, 6-1.

Sacred Heart, however, earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.

In singles action, SHU captured wins at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6, clinching the victory.

Sunday against Youngstown State, Anargha Ganguly battled in a three-set match, but fell to Will Rassat, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Feb. 1 on the road to take on Virginia Tech.
