WASHINGTON, D.C. - St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving freshman Kate Hill has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.

A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Hill compiled a stellar first week of her collegiate career, swimming at Penn State this past Thursday to open the season and again at a tri-meet against Fordham and host Rutgers on Saturday.

Against Penn State, Hill posted a second-place finish in the 100-free with a time of 51.89. Her performance currently stands as the best time in the A-10.

Hill followed up her conference-best mark by collecting her first win at the collegiate level during Saturday's tri-meet, completing the 100-free in 52.05.

The Bonnies are back in action on Oct. 24 as the team travels to face Cleveland State.
