The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team remains on the road to take on Binghamton Tuesday, Nov. 11. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Dr. Bai Lee Court.

Tuesday's game can be seen regionally on SNY as well as on ESPN+.

Tune into the Bonnies Online Network at 6:45 p.m. for the pregame show.

TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies bested Little Three rival Niagara last Friday on the road, 74-56, behind 19 points and eight rebounds for Laycee Drake.

Mallory Heise also finished in double figures for the Brown and White with 14 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line.

It was a homecoming for both Aaliyah Parker and Kylie Buckley as Parker spent four seasons with Niagara while Buckley spent the 2023-24 season with the Purple Eagles. Parker finished the game with 10 points and five rebounds while Buckley chipped in five points and seven boards.

The third quarter was the difference in Friday's matchup as the Bonnies outscored the Purple Eagles 19-6 in the period and grew the lead to as many as 25.

CLEANING THE GLASS
Rebounding has been key in the Bonnies' 2-0 start to the season, averaging 49.0 rebounds per game.

Entering the week, the Bonnies lead the Atlantic 10 in rebounds per game, rebounding margin (20.0) and defensive rebounds per game (33.5). Bona's 20.0 rebounding margin ranks 19th in the NCAA.

EVERYBODY EATS
The Bonnies are getting contributions from everywhere to begin the season. Bona's is averaging 43.5 bench points per game, leading the Atlantic 10 and ranking 18th in the NCAA.

BINGHAMTON NOTES

  • Binghamton comes into Tuesday's game 2-0 on the year with wins over Division III SUNY Geneseo (86-35) and Division II Bloomsburg (92-44). The Bearcats finished last season 15-15 overall and 7-9 in America East play. Binghamton was picked to finish sixth in the America East preseason poll.
  • Mary Grimes is in her second season as the head coach of the Bearcats, joining the squad last season after three seasons at the helm at Le Moyne. Grimes is 73-45 all-time as a head coach.
  • The Bearcats are led by Kendall Bennett and Bella Pucci who are both averaging 13.0 points per game. Bennett leads the team in rebounding as well, grabbing 9.0 rebounds per game. Leah Middleton (12.0) and Yanniah Boyd (10.0) also average double figures for Binghamton.

SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Bearcats are set to meet for the 16th time Tuesday evening. Bona's has dominated the all-time series, 13-2, including nine straight wins from 2007 to 2014.

The two sides met in last season's opener at the Reilly Center with the Bonnies scoring a season-high 82 points in the victory.

Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 10-1 all-time against the Bearcats.

The Bonnies return home to host Little Three rival Canisius Friday, Nov. 14. Tipoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Reilly Center.
