ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University women's basketball head coach Jim Crowley has announced the signing of Ella Trinkaus as part of the 2026 recruiting class.

Trinkaus joins the Bonnies from Marcy, N.Y. and is standout player for Utica Notre Dame.

"We are thrilled that Ella has chosen to join us at St. Bonaventure," Crowley said. "She is a talented, versatile, tough player that knows how to win. She comes to us from a great family and from outstanding coaching. We know she will have a very positive impact on our program and community."

A 6-1 guard/forward, Trinkaus averaged 25.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.9 steals per game in 2024-25, helping her squad to a Tri-Valley League title. In addition, Trinkaus was named the TVL Colonial Division Player of the Year.

Trinkaus garnered Class A All-State First Team honors as a junior and was selected as the Class B Player of the Year following the 2023-24 campaign.

She enters her senior season with 1,797 career points, ranking third in the Utica Notre Dame record book.

Trinkaus was a key contributor for Utica Notre Dame's State Championship run in 2023-24 alongside her twin, Erin, and older sister, Maggie.
