BONNIES SCHEDULE
St. Bonaventure at Cleveland State – Wednesday, Nov. 26 – 6:00 p.m. – ESPN+ – Bonnies Online Network
St. Bonaventure vs. Radford – Friday, Nov. 28 – 4:00 p.m.
St. Bonaventure vs. Valparaiso – Saturday, Nov. 29 – 1:00 p.m.
The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team is set for three games in four days at the CSU Invitational hosted by Cleveland State.
Action gets underway Wednesday, Nov. 26 when the Bonnies take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. This will be the only game available on ESPN+. Bona's then returns to action Friday, Nov. 29 at 4:00 p.m. against Radford before wrapping up play Saturday against Valparaiso at 1:00 p.m.
All three games will be played at Woodling Gymnasium in Cleveland.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies fell for the first time in 2025-26 Saturday afternoon to UAlbany, 62-53.
Aailyah Parker scored a game-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds while Ivona Djikanovic netted a career-high 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 23 minutes off the bench.
UAlbany gained momentum in the second quarter, growing its lead to as many as 16 with 2:01 left in the first half.
The Bonnies were able to cut the deficit down to eight in the fourth but could not get any closer as the Great Danes held on for the win.
GETTING TO THE LINE
Bona's has been efficient at getting to the free throw line this season and making its chances.
The Bonnies enter the week ranked second in the Atlantic 10 in free throw percentage and free throws made per game. The Brown and White are shooting 75.4 percent from the line and are making 14.3 chances per game.
IN THE RANKS
The Bonnies are currently allowing the second fewest points to their opponents in the Atlantic 10, allowing just 55.8 points per game. Bona's is also +12.0 in scoring margin which sits third in the A-10.
On the glass, the Bonnies are averaging 38.8 rebounds per game and are +8.8 in rebounding margin, a mark that ranks second in the Atlantic 10.
DRAKE IN DOUBLE FIGURES
Bonnies graduate Laycee Drake is off to a fast start in 2025-26, averaging a team-high 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 50.7 percent from the field, 40.9 percent from beyond the arc and 94.4 percent from the free throw line. Drake currently leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks 17th in the NCAA in free throw percentage. She also sits fifth in the A-10 in field goal percentage.
She has scored in double figures in five out of six games, and the Bonnies are 5-0 when she does so. Drake has recorded two 20-point games, including a career-high 21 points against Buffalo Nov. 19.
PARKER'S PROWESS
Fellow graduate Aaliyah Parker has excelled at getting to the free throw line this season. Through six games, Parker is 22-for-27 from the line and is shooting 81.5 percent. Her 22 made free throws ranks seventh in the Atlantic 10 and her 81.5 free throw percentage sits eighth.
She has scored in double figures four times, including a season-high 22 points vs. Canisius Nov. 14. Parker ranks second on the Bonnies in scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
ROAD WARRIORS
Wednesday's contest against the Vikings marks the first of seven straight games away from the Reilly Center for the Brown and White.
Following the CSU Invitational, the Bonnies will travel to take on Saint Louis (Dec. 3), Le Moyne (Dec. 6), Mercyhurst (Dec. 12) and Howard (Dec. 20).
CLEVELAND STATE NOTES
- The Vikings begin the week 4-1 on the year but are coming off a 75-68 loss on the road at Northwestern Friday night. Cleveland State has picked up wins over Chicago State, Cal State Fullerton, Pitt-Johnstown and Akron. CSU finished last season 27-10 overall and 14-6 in Horizon League play, falling in the WNIT Fab 4. The Vikings were picked to finish fourth in the Horizon League preseason poll, receiving one first place vote.
- Chris Kielsmeier is in his eighth season at the helm of the Viking women's basketball program, touting a 156-71 record at Cleveland State. Kielsmeier is 672-187 in 26 seasons as a head coach.
- Colbi Maples is averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game to start the season while shooting 42.9 percent from the field. Izabella Zingaro is chipping in 13.6 points per game to go along with a team-best 6.6 rebounds and is shooting 60.6 percent from the floor.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CLEVELAND STATE
The Bonnies and Vikings are set to meet for the seventh time Wednesday with the all-time series tied, 3-3. Cleveland State has best the Bonnies in the three previous meetings.
Bonnies head coach Jim Crowley is 2-0 all-time against the Vikings.
RADFORD NOTES
- Radford enters the week 4-3 overall and are coming off back-to-back wins against Furman and Niagara last week. The Highlanders also have wins over Loyola (MD) and Emory & Henry this season. Radford finished last year with a 14-17 overall record and were 10-6 in Big South play. The Highlanders were picked to finish third in the Big South preseason poll, receiving one first place vote.
- Mike McGuire is in his 13th season as the head coach of the Highlanders. McGuire has guided Radford to a 196-176 record.
- Angelina Nice is leading the Highlanders in scoring, averaging 10.0 points per game. On the glass, Georgia Simonsen is pulling down 6.9 rebounds per game.
VALPARAISO NOTES
- Valparaiso enters the week still searching for its first win of the season, falling to DePaul, Detroit Mercy, Iowa State, Milwaukee and South Dakota. The Beacons finished last season 13-19 overall and 9-11 against Missouri Valley Conference opponents.
- Courtney Boyd is in her first season as the head coach at Valparaiso, joining the squad after spending the past two seasons at Division II Quincy. Overall, Boyd is 190-73 in eight-plus seasons as a head coach.
- Leading the way offensively for the Beacons is Fiona Connelly who is averaging 11.6 points per game. Kamryn Winch is pulling down a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.
NEW FACES
The Bonnies are slated to face Radford and Valparaiso for the first time in program history Friday and Saturday, respectively.
UP NEXT
The Bonnies return to action Wednesday, Dec. 3 when they travel to Saint Louis to kick off Atlantic 10 play. Tipoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.
