The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team returns to non-conference action Saturday, Dec. 6 when it travels to take on Le Moyne. Tipoff is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Ted Grant Court.
TIPPING OFF
The Bonnies dropped their Atlantic 10 opener on the road at Saint Louis Wednesday night, 76-70.
Laycee Drake and Olivia DiFranco paced the Bonnies on offense. Drake finished the game with 16 points on 6-for-15 shooting from the field to go along with five rebounds and five assists. DiFranco also chipped in 16 points, setting a new career-high on 7-of-9 shooting.
CRASHING THE GLASS
Bona's is averaging 38.5 rebounds per game, ranking third in the Atlantic 10. On the defensive glass, the Bonnies are averaging 27.3 defensive rebounds per game, a mark that also ranks third in the Atlantic 10.
The Brown and White's +6.0 rebounding margin is the second-best mark in the A-10 behind Duquesne's +10.0 rebounding margin.
ON THE DEFENSIVE
The Bonnies currently second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense, holding opponents to 58.6 points per game this season while Bona's +10.4 scoring margin sits fourth in the A-10.
St. Bonaventure is holding opponents to a 23.7 shooting percentage from behind the arc. That mark sits second in the Atlantic 10 and 23rd in the NCAA.
LE MOYNE NOTES
- Le Moyne enters Saturday's game 1-6 overall with its lone win coming over Lafayette, 82-79, in overtime Nov. 9. The Dolphins have played a tough non-conference slate, featuring St. John's, Baylor, Pittsburgh and Illinois. Le Moyne finished last season 7-24 overall and 6-10 against Northeast Conference opponents. The Dolphins were picked to finish fourth in the NEC preseason poll.
- Nick DiPillo is in his second season as the Le Moyne head coach, touting an 8-30 record with the Dolphins. Prior to Le Moyne, DiPillo spent three seasons as the head coach at Division III Scranton where he went 58-8.
- Le Moyne is led offensively by Eli Clark who is averaging 10.6 points per game. Ashley Buragas is second on the team in scoring at 9.3 points per game but leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.9 rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Dolphins are set to meet for the 13th time Saturday afternoon. Bona's leads the all-time series 9-3, but the two teams have not played since the 1987-88 season. The Dolphins got the better of the Bonnies in 1988, defeating the Brown and White, 60-57.

The Bonnies are off until Friday, Dec. 12 when they travel to take on Mercyhurst. Tipoff is slated for 6:00 p.m.
