ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team fell short against Georgetown, 4-3, Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

The Bonnies were able to take the doubles point from the Hoyas to begin Tuesday's match.

The team of Isabella Venter and Cirkeline Lundberg paired up for a 6-4 win at the top doubles spot while Sienna Smith and Tamara Bachmann clinched the doubles point with a 7-6 victory at No. 2.

Venter and Lundberg carried their momentum into singles play where they both picked up wins.

At No. 1 singles, Venter bested Emily Novikov in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 10-3. Lundberg also battled to a three-set win at No. 2, capturing a 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 victory over Ashley Kennedy.

The Bonnies are back in action Wednesday, March 5 when they take on Seton Hall.
