The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week presented by CPL are men's soccer graduate student Ricardo Rittersberger Galan and women's soccer senior Hannah Walker.
Rittersberger Galan was a key part of the Bonnies' 5-0 win over Little Three rival Canisius last Wednesday at the Marra Athletics Complex.
A native of Weinheim, Germany, Rittersberger Galan netted the Brown and White's opening goal in the sixth minute of the contest off a pass from Jesper van Halderen.
Ritterberger Galan did not stop there as he registered his first assist of the season on the Bonnies' fifth and final goal of the night off the foot of Seth Hammond.
He currently ranks third on the Bonnies with five points on two goals and an assist.
The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Sept. 20 when they travel to take on Davidson.
Walker, a native of Sayre, Pa., was a major contributor to a successful past week for the St. Bonaventure women's soccer program, playing 70-plus minutes in each of two shutout wins for the team last week.
She played 77 minutes on Thursday in a 1-0 triumph over Long Island, standing strong on the Bonaventure back line and effectively starting transitions up field. She then saw 72 minutes of action on Sunday against Oakland, helping defend home turf with a 2-0 victory after she was honored for Senior Day.
A captain of the women's soccer team, Walker has started in every contest so far this season and has provided a beacon of veteran leadership as the longest-tenured player on this year's roster.
