The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending April 19 are baseball junior Joey Calabretti and women's lacrosse senior Brooke Piper.

Calabretti impacted every facet of the Bonnies' series sweep over defending Atlantic 10 champion Rhode Island on the Handler Park diamond this past weekend.

In the opener of the series on Friday, he homered, drove in two runs and scored twice to set the tone. In the second half of the doubleheader, he went 3-for-5 with five RBIs and two runs. In the field, he helped protect a 7-7 tie as his spectacular diving catch in left field with runners at the corners saved at least one run. Later in the inning, he cracked a go-ahead grand slam. Then, in the eighth inning, he went to the mound where he recorded the final six outs of the game as the Bonnies held on for a 15-13 victory.

In Sunday's finale, he drove in another run, then locked in his second save in as many days on the hill with a scoreless ninth inning in a 5-4 win.

For the week, he hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage and finished with two homers and eight RBIs. On the mound, he recorded two saves and three scoreless innings.

Piper had another record-setting day in the Bonnies' 19-9 lacrosse win at La Salle on Saturday as she set new school records for single-game goals (9) and points (11) in a dominating performance.

Her nine goals in Saturday's win are the most by any Atlantic 10 player since 2023 and are tied for the most by any Division I player this season.
 
Along with her record-setting scoring tallies, Piper added three draw controls as well as a pair of groundballs and two caused turnovers.

She was also named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week for the third time, most of any A-10 player this season.
