Assistant head cross country coach Bob Ring enters his thirdyear at St. Bonaventure under head coach Bob Macfarlane.

Ring lives in Olean with his wife, Zandy, and works as a civilengineer with an AAS of mathematics from Jamestown CommunityCollege. He attended Olean High School where he not onlyvolunteered as track and field and cross country coach for twoyears, but also holds two school track and cross country records inthe 3200 meter and 4x800 meter relay.

Ring ran cross country for Alfred State College and was part of ateam that was National Junior College Athletic Association nationalrunner-up. He also ran cross country for Daemen College, where hestill holds the school record.

“I’m an avid runner and road racer, but I am mostpassionate about coaching others and passing on the knowledge Ihave gathered from years of competing,” said Ring.
