Jeff Handman is in his second season with the St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse program after joining the staff in September 2023. He was promoted to Associate Head Men's Lacrosse Coach prior to the 2025 season.

Handman arrived in Western New York after spending the past several years in the Carolinas, most recently as an assistant at Queens University of Charlotte the last two seasons. At Queens, he helped the Royals transition to the Division I level including their first-ever D-I win last spring. He was involved in all aspects of the Queens program, including recruiting, travel, scheduling and fundraising. Handman also served as the program's recruiting coordinator where he spearheaded the strategy for identifying, evaluating and recruiting student-athletes which resulted in the commitment of 28 new players for the Class of 2023.

Prior to his time at Queens, he was on the staff of Newberry College in South Carolina from 2019-22. He worked as the defensive coordinator, goalie coach and recruiting coordinator for Newberry, helping the program to back-to-back 10 win seasons in 2021 and 2022. While on staff at Newberry, he recruited four USILA All-Americans, six USILA South All-Region players and 17 South Atlantic All-Conference selections. The program ranked as high as No. 15 in the USILA rankings in 2022 and had two players selected in the NLL Draft.

He was also an assistant at Barton (N.C.) College where he was responsible for recruiting, player development, scouting and film. He helped guide the team to the conference playoffs in its first year.

In addition to his work at both the Division I and II collegiate levels, he has coached at the club level including Team 91 Carolina which helped him to build not only coaching experience but recruiting connections throughout the region.

Handman was a student-athlete at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee where he was a goalie for four years. He earned his bachelor's of science in kinesiology and was an All-South Atlantic Conference Honor Roll pick and Dean's List student.
