In 2022, St. Bonaventure finished the year ranked third in scoring defense, allowing under nine goals per game.

Capron coached All-Conference goalkeeper Brett Dobson who led the nation in save percentage in both 2021 and 2022, earning MAAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades as a senior before being drafted in the PLL. Fellow senior Zack Belter also picked up All-Conference honors as a long pole following the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Off the field, Capron was instrumental in organizing team community service projects including the HEADstrong Lax Stache Madness initiative which raised over $53,000 between 2019 and 2021 as well as the Lacrosse for Life project that drew $14,000 for Boston Children's Hospital in 2019.

He also assisted in the organization of travel logistics and day-to-day operations of the program.

Before moving to Colby College, Capron spent two years as an assistant coach at the College of the Holy Cross. During his time with the Crusaders, he assisted in all facets of the program's operation including student-athlete recruiting and player development.

Capron has also spent time with Saint Joseph's and Queens University of Charlotte as a volunteer assistant coach.

As a player, Capron, a Canisius grad, was a four-year letterman and was a member of the 2012 Metro Atlantic Conference Championship team under head coach Randy Mearns.
