Member of National Honors Society in high school and was a USA Swimming Academic All-American... finished fifth in 100-yard backstroke (54.30) and twelfth in 100-yard freestyle (48.70) at states in senior year... swam for Parkway Swim Club, coached by Nick Rudich.

Son of Richard and Joanne... Has one sister... Is an accounting major and was named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2008 semester.
