Biography
As a Junior (2009-10)
Was recognized as Swimmer of the Week by the Atlantic 10 Conference for his efforts against Little Three rival, Canisius. Took first place against Canisius in both the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard freestyle, posting times of 1:00.10 and 1:46.91, respectively. He also swam a leg on the winning 800-yard freestyle relay team in that meet (7:20.85). Came up big for the Bonnies at the Atlantic 10 Championships, earning 41 individual points and posting season-best times in the three events he swam in. Earned a bronze medal in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:53.36. Took sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:06.24 and seventh in the 100 breast, touching in at 57.72.
As A Sophomore (2008-09)
Emerged as one of the team's and conference's top distance swimmers... Holds the team's top season time in the 1000-yard free by almost ten seconds... Touched for the fifth-best conference time in the 1000-yard free as well... Helped set a team and conference record in the 200-yard medley relay, beating the previous records by over two seconds at the Atlantic 10 championships... Also finished eighteenth in the 1650-yard free, fifth in the 500-yard free and second in the 100-yard breaststoke to help the team to a second-place finish.
As A Freshman (2007-08)
Competed in two events at the Atlantic 10 Championship, placing fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.50) and second as a member the 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:03.16)... captured first career gold with the Bonnies in the 200-yard medley relay against Pittsburgh ... was victorious in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a Bona season-best time of 9:58.88 vs. Binghamton ... also claimed gold in the 500-yard freestyle against the Bearcats.
High School
As a senior, was the Section III swimmer of meet and finished in eighth place in the 100 breast in states ... a USA Sectional Qualifier during his senior and junior campaigns ... 100 free section champion and a state qualifier as a junior ... finished in third place in the States Medley Relay as a sophomore ... coached by Zac Mekker.
