Has an outstanding athletic career at Olean High School … her senior season her team went undefeated 16-0 and was sectional championship qualifier ... she was a state qualifier in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay ... was State championship finalist in the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay ... holds records in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay ... won the Scholar Athlete award, was a member of the CCAA first team all-star, NYSPHSAA senior scholar athlete, team captain and most valuable swimmer … as a junior her team went undefeated 16-0, and was a sectional championship qualifier ... she was a state qualifier in the 100 freestyle, 200 medley relay and State and Federation champion in the 200 Medley Relay ... she was an All-American Consideration qualifier and won Scholar Athlete award, CCAA first team all-star, team captain and won best performance award … aside from being an outstanding swimming she was also a member of the outdoor and indoor track teams where she holds many records as well.

Born Dec. 23, 1992 … from Olean, N.Y. …  daughter of John and Joy Sawaya … one sibling (Chelsea) … choose St. Bonaventure because everyone that she knows who went here has loved it and she knows that she can lean a lot from Coach Johnson … considers her father her role model … biology major.
