St. Bonaventure named Dallas Miller to theposition of Sports Information Director July 19, 2010.
At Bonaventure, Miller is responsible for all facets of sportscommunication for 14 intercollegiate sports, including coordinationof all media and public relations for the storied St. Bonaventuremen’s basketball program.
Miller joined St. Bonaventure after serving a one-year term asan athletic communications assistant at the United States MilitaryAcademy at West Point.
In that role, Miller was the primary media relations contact forthe Army cross country, men’s tennis, sprint football andtrack & field teams, while serving secondary duties with thebasketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball teams.
The Ontario, N.Y. native spent the 2007-08 and 08-09 seasons atSt. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. where he worked in asimilar capacity. In his time as a Sports Information StaffAssociate, Miller was instrumental in a number of projects,including a publicity effort that resulted in the Cardinals'baseball team being awarded the NCAAs All-Division SportsmanshipAward.
He also helped to produce a 24-square-foot commemorative photomosaic that was judged third best in the nation by the CollegeSports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) and was named asone of 40 Emerging African American Leaders in the greaterRochester area by the Democrat & Chronicle.
A three-year letter winner on the St. John Fisher Collegefootball team, Miller received a bachelor's degree inCommunications/Journalism in 2007 and a master's degree inOrganizational Learning/Human Resource Development in 2009.
