St. Bonaventure

Gubanova helped the Bonnies to a 1-1 weekend which included a 7-0 sweep of Mercyhurst last Saturday at the SBU Fitness Center.

In the win over the Lakers, Gubanova helped the Bonnies secure the doubles point to begin the match. The Russian native teamed up with classmate Sofia Franco at the top doubles flight to earn a 6-2 victory.

In singles action, Gubanova battled to a three-set win over Mercyhurst's Athina Tsagkaraki at the No. 2 singles spot to earn another point for the Bonnies.

The Bonnies are back in action March 14 when they host Colgate. That match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
